The North Umpqua is the steelheader’s paradise. The diversity of water within the North Umpqua will leave you in awe and fulfilled. The water is a mesmerizing blue that screams steelhead with every presentation. There are long chunky, bouldery, swift flowing runs, and platforms to cast from that challenge anglers of any skill level. There is such a variety of water you can be certain that after fishing with Kait on the North Umpqua you will have the knowledge to feel confident in finding steelhead on any river system.

Kait has had the honor of mentoring with Tony Wratney of Summerrun Guide service. Tony is the longest standing guide on the North Umpqua with over 35+ years guided experience on the river. Kait is the first woman to guide the “Flywater” only section in 30 years and the 3rd ever following in the footsteps of Pat Lee who guided in the 70’s and 80’s while running the Steamboat Inn.
